SAMASAMA Art Show & Gathering

  • Ten Tigers Parlour

Join us for an evening of art and atmosphere at Ten Tigers Parlour. Chill over cocktails + bites. Sound Selection by Les a.k.a. The Pinstriped Rebel. Live Screen Printing by Soul & Ink.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. In celebration, Soul & Ink and Batang Kankaloo are hosting SAMASAMA Art Show and Gathering on May 24, 2017 to benefit Asian American LEAD (AALEAD) youth programs.

The phrase “SAMASAMA” is derived from the Malay language and is Tagalog/Pilipino for “you are welcome”; “all together”; “united”.

This one night only pop-up art show aims to share the Asian Pacific American perspective, raising our voices collectively. By doing so, acknowledging we’re part of a whole, that we are all in this together.

Suggested $5 donation at the door. Gather for the cause. Proceeds + 10% of art sales will go to AALEAD. AALEAD’s youth programs provides academic and enrichment support to low income and underserved youth in the DC metro area.

Bulletin Market

Bulletin supports independent creatives by transforming vacant retail spaces and hosting awesome local markets. Bulletin Markets feature the best up-and-coming vendors in home decor, jewelry, textiles, prints, ceramics, apothecary, food and more. The Bulletin Market is free to attend and open to the public. Friends and family welcome!

Bulletin + Hangry Garden

Bulletin has teamed up with Hangry Garden to bring a new type of market to Williamsburg - Bulletin Market. Bulletin + Hangry Garden are turning the giant vacant lot on N8 and Driggs into a summer block party - a place to hang all day, relax, and enjoy. Next weekend, meet and shop local designers, snag eats from the best NYC food vendors, sip on a beer and play games in the sun. Expect a full bar on tap and local DJ spinning to help you enjoy these beautiful summer months. See you there every weekend.

More about Hangry Garden

Hangry Garden is your unconventional food market. This is not a “grab & go” eating experience, but more so a one-stop shop incorporating many up and coming mobile food vendors alongside live music, art installations, and games such as shuffleboard and
foosball. Many NYC food markets forget to create a comfortable environment for patrons to hang out, eat and actually enjoy each other's company. By inserting a mini botanical oasis in the heart of New York, locals will have a new place to spend their summer days.
